Copyright & DMCA Policy

PromptCut respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent EU law (Art. 17 DSM Directive / German UrhDaG).
Reporting infringement
To submit a takedown notice, send a written communication to dmca@promptcut.online containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including the URL of the processed output on our service (e.g. a
/api/preview/[jobId]link if you have one). - Your contact information: full legal name, address, telephone, email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
We will remove or disable access to the material within a reasonable time and notify the user who uploaded it.
Counter-notice
If you believe content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address containing the required DMCA elements (17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3)).
Repeat infringers
We terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyrights, in accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i).
Your responsibility as a user
You are solely responsible for the content you upload to PromptCut. Do not upload copyrighted material (movies, TV shows, music, sports broadcasts, etc.) that you do not own or have licence to use. Fair use / fair dealing analysis is your responsibility.
EU DSA — Notice-and-Action for illegal content (Art. 16 DSA)
Independently of copyright, EU residents can report any allegedly illegal content under the Digital Services Act. Submit a notice to abuse@promptcut.online with:
- A sufficiently substantiated explanation why the content is illegal.
- A clear indication of where the content is hosted (URL / job ID).
- Your name and an email for contact (anonymous reports are accepted for content alleged to violate child-safety provisions).
- A statement of good faith that the information is accurate.
We will:
- send you an acknowledgement of receipt (without undue delay);
- decide on the notice in a diligent, non-arbitrary, objective manner;
- inform you of the decision and the redress options (internal complaint procedure, out-of-court dispute settlement, judicial remedy).
Affected users (the user whose content is restricted) receive a statement of reasons under Art. 17 DSA and can lodge an internal complaint within 6 months by replying to the decision email. We aim to handle complaints within 14 days.
