What kinds of videos work best?
Anything with audible speech — podcasts, gameplay commentary, tutorials, vlogs, course recordings. The AI transcribes first, then plans the edit around what was said. Pure-music clips still get color, cuts, music and watermark applied; they just skip captions.
How long can my source video be?
It depends on your plan — Free is capped at 10 minutes per upload, Pro at 60 minutes, Business at 3 hours (long enough for full tournament VODs and stream highlights). For sources longer than ~50 minutes, AI-generated captions cover the first ~50 minutes; cuts, color, music and watermark apply to the full length.
How big a file can I upload?
Up to 4 GB per upload regardless of plan — that's the cap on the chunked upload route. In practice an hour of 1080p H.264 footage is around 1–2 GB, so most clips well within range.
Does the watermark stay on paid plans?
No — Pro and Business export without the watermark. The free-tier watermark says "PromptCut.com" in the bottom-right corner; that's how the platform stays free for creators just starting out.
Where do my videos live?
EU servers, deleted from disk 7 days after export. We never train on your content. You can request immediate deletion any time at /kuendigung (also linked from your dashboard).
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly billing, one-click cancel from your dashboard or via the public /kuendigung page (required by EU § 312k BGB). You keep access through the period you already paid for; quotas don't carry over.
